Back from Canada and...
« on: June 22, 2013, 10:04:40 AM »
Well have been MIA for a week. Took my sons fishing in Canada, with Aman holding down the fort on CL.
Thanks to Maceggs on some beer selection. I forgot to take pictures, but on the island we stay there was pre-79 faded black, no rust and a SJ three wheel "C". The SJ was in mint condition just sitting there in the elements. He found it in the dumpster on main land just before our arrival. No go on a purchase... :(
But, one of camp members is on a three year stay in the UK. unexpected to me...

Well not one of my cheaper CL purchases, but it is going to be a looker. Customs was not so kind to it and has one little chip... >:(

Also a big shout out to Aman! He put some finishing touches on my my Mini-WSM.
Great week of fishing, great beer and new Robin Egg SJG.

So cool GLrasmussen! Is that an inner ash catcher? There's also so many bars on that grate.

Yes, inner ash catcher(with finger grab)and the charcoal holder is very heavy duty.

Very, very jealous my friend...you know how much I dig the smokeys.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

I know, they don't take up as much room...Burning in the Mini WSM tonight! I see there was one at the WKC meet up. My bride loved it, she is really accepting my Itis, my boys think I'm nuts. Price was high, but I know there are probably not many on this continent.

Definitely, Aman did an outstanding job!

Can you tell us more about that internal ash pan on the SJG?  :)

The internal ash pan sets flush in the bottom, with a small contour to get a finger underneath to remove.
The best, is the heavy duty charcoal grate. This SJ is a tank, as far as weight.
