My maverick that I have had forever bit the dust last night. I don't use one often but for some things they are very nice to have. I may have to get one as well.

Thermoworks Smoke is awesome.  As Joe said, you won't regret the purchase.  I use the crap out of mine.  Two ports work just fine for me.

@Troy - Do you have a link that is tied to the WKC so the club gets a few cents?

Question. Are all probes interchangeable between brands?

Jon

Probes are not interchangeable between brands. I believe that Thermoworks probes are interchangeable between models. And I dig my Smoke, very well put together compared to Maverick.

Thanks Jon!  I saved my old probes because I wasn't sure. I guess I can throw those out.

I use ThermoWorks probes with igrill systems. They work better than the igrill probes.

You can offer it up to WKC. I recently sent an extra probe to a member when theirs crapped out.

Good idea. I will do that before tossing them. I will probably check a couple other thermometers that I use inside to see if they work as well.

At some point i may need to get a thermometer. I'm old fashioned so I've been relying  mostly on my 10 fingers for the past 30 years that I've been grilling.
