I've been using the same pair of tongs for ash management as well as cooking and didn't know this tool existed.

It's well built and I'll be buying another one for use at the dock.  Bueno!

I use the Aura tool as well!! I couldnt rake out my Egg with the Weber tool. Aura gear has solid value.

That looks pretty useful. I like the cool touch handle. I’ve been using a stick for years.

I've only used it once, yesterday but it was to knock down the ashes in the Slow N Sear.

The first time I used the SnS I became frustrated because toward the middle of a Brisket cook I couldn't understand why I was having a hard time maintaining temps.  it was because the spent ash and coals were clogging up the air flow in the bottom of the SnS.  Totally on me for not understanding it.   That really turned me off on the product until I figured that out.  I always just used the same set of tongs to push ashes around that I used to handle the meat (not exactly sanitary).

For $13.49 I think it's awesome.  Now if it was $25 I'd probably pass but for $13.49 for a really well built piece of equipment that I can hang on the handle and use a ton, I'm all in.

It's a must when using the stackers.

I also use this to stir and knock off the ashes. No need to lift the grates.
