Looks super ugly to me!
Summit for the ,,ceramic" league- OK!
This Premium Mastertouch appears unnecessary to me.

I'm curious about how the price will be.

For the most people I know even the ,,normal" Mastertouch is to expensive.

For me a no go.
One of the facts I love most on the Weber kettles was the removable lid.
I always wonder why the hell some people install lid hinges.
You know what I mean?
You can't place the lid vent where you need it.

Just my 50cent

I agree with you Jan. Most of the US isn't paying more for the Master Touch now. Not sure they would pay more for this model as well. Around my area I see way more Char-Broil barrel cookers than Kettles in back yards anyway.

Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

They talk about the same price like by old MT version  +- 330 EUR

Well they are trying to innovate. Had to beat the already supreme basic kettle they have out. I'm sure they will sell as there's quite the "I have to have it" crowd here in the us.

If I did want a hinge, I would get the one from Unknown BBQ for my Kettle.

Looks like a good left handed set up.  I like that.
Available in Europe.  We will never see these in the US.  Do not like that.

The hinge seems like total overkill. I'd rather have the regular master touch lid bale so you can turn the lid / damper to anywhere you want it.

Ok. So here is what I dont like.  They have the vent at the back of the kettle, near the hinge. So, if you cook 2 zone, ( I do 99% of the time) you have your "cool zone" under the vent right? So you have your coal in the front of the grill. Now your reaching across the heat to get to your 2nd zone.

Not to mention the therm would be "pegged" because it's right over the coals.  Come on Weber.  Quit screwing this up!
Interested in ANY offset handle SJs you may have.

I'll stick with my 1979 Happy Hooker Cooker, thank you.

I've been friends with Jason (Unknown BBQ) for 10 years, maybe more. He has busted his ass working for the man for 10+ years, and now he is gone out on his own and doing it for his own company. You won't find a harder working USA loving sumbitch anywhere. He came up with the idea for the hinge, patented his killer design, and welds each one by hand. Crazy welding skills. Check out his other stuff too. All stainless steel, made by him, and the best quality you'll find. Sorry for going off topic but I love this guy like a brother. He represents what's right in our country.

I can be wrong but looking at the pics you can place the hinge there where the handle is located and v.v. This way the issue with the vent right above coals would be simply solved.
For me it's still a step in the right direction done by Weber and I like it.

Is it made in China?  If so, check them leg sockets..........
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Some side bar discussions of the Premium, my comments are.  The lid vent?  why not on the top like the summit, like the ranch, like the old One Touch premium?

I am sure the reason for the way it opens is for stability, with two legs in back and one in front if it opened back, like the summit it would be back heavy and fall.  What about really reinventing the thing, put two wheels on front, one on back and open back and not caddywampus style.  Just thoughts.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the defuser and want one ASAP.
