Well I see these all the time. But my I still have a job, so it is not easy to score a free one. Usally a "Curb Alert"... No holds. Thursday I before bed, did a search on "Grill". Hmmm, says free, so I look at it. Long distance shot.(Sorry did not save it, but a Grillafella can see...) Sent a message, low an behold, they responded Friday morning. Had some issues, but got it worked our, had to have a Salesman from work pick it up. I have to believe this was only used once. It has to be a 78? The bad, they left the coals and ash in from their only cook, Have one leg weld with a little rust through.

At home.

Took a little time today to do some cleaning. I should have taken a triangle shot, but it looked so bad, I didn't think it would clean up, did, but needs some detail. Need some wheels, all the outdoor time not covered did them in.

Nice find and nice cleanup! My only CL freebie was a Silver B with SS grates and flavorizers and a cover that did not fit. The PO was upgrading to charcoal.

Nice catch, Greg !!!

That's in really good shape, just about like my old "Bob", only CLEAN !!!

Shiney ash pan, hardly any rust on the triangle....WOW !!!
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!
"But the ever versatile kettle reigned supreme"

I meant to ask... Is the white cap on the front leg the correct color? I went with black for my 18.

Thanks all! I was worried, about the ash pan...Hard to come by the old guys, it must have been been under the lid, wasn't in the picture, but arrived under the lid.  You should have seen the triangle, Like I said, I omitted it from the thread, but SOS, and some other chemicals, turned out fine.

Hank, learning from this "Awesome Sight" White is correct. My 26" Brownie has the original white. That era was white, black is the new era. (I think :o, because I'm not positive)

Wanted: 18" Platinum any color will work

That's a WKC deal of the day right there! Awesome save! The wheels on that one have the same whitewall damage as my '78 brownie did when I got it. Very nice!! Love the metal handle blacks.

MacEggs

That is an impressive find!
Very nice clean up, too.  :D
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.
