Anyone have experience getting one loose?
I believe it to be an 81-82
Thanks for any wisdom.

And what year are these plastic wheels from? I've never seen them

Yes. Kroil soak, firm grasp, and patience. Some have taken 20 solid mins. and given me a nice forearm burn. Feel the burn.

Its funny when you think about it... How may of us tried to keep the legs from FALLING OUT!!!

And here we are.... Leg Stuck.  @johnny 2 shack  with a "Short Story" (I can almost bet I know how it ended)   :)
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

And jostling the leg all around will make the porcelain around leg socket deteriorate quicker.

So true.  The Avocado I just got is my first thumb screw kettle, and after moving it around a few times with no worry of legs falling out I am wondering why weber ever went away from this.  Sounds like it would have save @johnny 2 shack some head trauma!  LOL

Can't remember how many kettles I've
scrounged that hat either tape wrapped
around the leg or foil jammed in the socket
to keep a leg from dropping.

I don't have any new kettles but that sounds like a nice improvement making the legs both removable and secure when in place.

I picked a NIB Copper OTG Premium last fall.  I must say, I do like the new spring loaded buttons.  Kettle took longer to get all of the pieces out of the box than it did to put it together.  In 40 minutes time, I was burnin' her in...
