Awesome Kettle! i'll find one One of these days-maybe.

@Troy, "Please don't pam it"  ?  Do you mean oil it? How would be the best way to preserve the finish?

A Weathered Warrior for sure!  Love the moss on the lid!

Love the way it looks. Whereabouts did you find it?

Thanks everybody 😊
I picked this about 10 minutes from my work on lunch today. When I walked up to it, it reminded me of the kettle referred to as "Grandpa" @Zavod44's house but the 22" version.  I am not sure how am going to handle it yet. 1 leg socket fell off on the way to the car the other 2 are barely hanging on. I am thinking about drilling and tapping the leg sockets and using big washers inside the bowl. Or possibly making the patches and welding it all up. I don't have access to a welder so I am leaning towards the tapping of the sockets. It is also missing the front handle. Anyone have any ideas on what to replace it with?

oh shit, that is the best patina i've seen.

Please don't pam it.
I love it too. Any suggestions on how to preserve it? I am afraid of doing the usual cleanup. Dish soap and a rag might ruin it.

Since you asked, I would not do anything to the outside of that lid.  The patina, including the green moss, is one of a kind and badass IMHO.
