Rotisserie Question

I had someone give me an older rotisserie for the kettle.  It came in an older box but I could not determine the age. The spit did not have a wood handle. So the question is was there ever a time that Weber made rotisseries with just the metal spit and no wood handle?  If so, what years did they do this and when did start using the wood handles?  Weber customer service was not able to answer the question.

Yes, Weber originally made their rotisseries with just a metal spit and no wood handle. The metal ring also had two holes on each side with no cutout like current day rotisseries.  The motors were made by Brevel, a USA company.  Cannot comment as to the production years.  Here is a NOS Weber I found last year. Does it look like this one?
