1962 Catalog (At Last!)
« on: November 07, 2015, 10:30:30 AM »
Here it is in all its glory! Form C-62 WEBER-STEPHEN PRODUCTS WOOD DALE, ILLINOIS Enjoy!

1962 Weber Catalog

This catalog has been seen before but in much smaller hard to read form. It's nice to finally have an up close and personal look at this one.

For me and my fellow long time WKC'rs mentioned here, this last image should put to rest the great debate dating back to almost the founding of the WKC. Grandpa's original color.
@zavod44 @Troy @Jeff @Heyjude @1buckie @landgraftj @pbe gummi bear @mike.stavlund @MartyG @reillyranch

In all fairness, the lighting they used here for the 26'er does make it appear grey.

Catalog to be archived on the site soon.

Was '62 the first year for the 26" kettle @anyonewhoknows?
This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

As far as we know from research, yes, the first black 26ers (the Fleetwood) came out in 1962. The Westerner came out in 1963. The red Aristocrat first appears in 1964. The Chief is around by 1969-71.

This is awesome, thanks for posting it!

I think it's funny how they suggest you can use them indoors. I wonder how many people actually tried that?

Also, The Ambassador, has anyone ever seen one of those? I wonder if the yellow matches the yellow from the '70's?

One other thing I noticed, @Craig it almost looks as if the picture of the 26er is a black and white photo. I don't know why they would do that, but even the legs look to be a different shade. Could just be bad lighting too.
