Looking for input from the Weber heads here. It's an "A" code 26er that I have a chance to purchase. It's all there, original grates and all vent covers. I don't have a 26er yet and wondering if I should pull the trigger. Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Now that you've seen it, what's it worth??

That's a nice one.....a bit grubby, but looks like it would clean up real well...."A" Code is not an everyday occurrence, so it's "worth" maybe more than your average Blackie 3-wheeler 22"....

The "worth" & "value" questions are weird, it does kind of depend on area, what you have to fork out, if they're asking something "reasonable", how much you want the item, etc.

"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!

Does the cooking grate look like it can be saved?? I know that's a large $$ to replace and the new style doesn't fit correctly

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

I think you're asking the wrong crew if you should get it or not...

What's it worth....not really sure. Tell us what the ask is. Me...if it were around 50 bucks or so....I'd jump on it. Less than that I'd be over there now.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

Thanks for the input. I plan to go see it this afternoon after seller gets home from work. Lets just say its 75ish, lol. half of what the seller originally wanted.

You could even go close to the original asking & be OK......not an ordinary item...... 8)

Go get 'er!! @1buckie is right, there are not too many A code 26'ers that have popped up yet. In fact I don't know if anyone here has a '79 26 in any color as yet.

Grab it!!! 26ers are the best to cook on!!!

That's right! I forgot about that one. This must be the first black A Fleetwood to surface in the club?

Success, I picked this up a lil while ago. Pics to follow tomorrow. All vents move and I think the grate is savable. Legs are solid as are the handles and it definitely has a few beauty marks. Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I hope I can get it cleaned up for the eCook this weekend.  8)
