So here is the story, I will tell before I get into working for the day.
Last year I sold
@MrHoss a really nice Lime kettle, I am so pleased to have sold it to him. The friendship that has developed out of it is awesome. I got it for a good price, he doubled my money, I was happy, he was happy. Here's my soapbox - In the condition it was in, I think I could have netted $200 or more on E-bay but it would have sold to someone who I never would have developed a connection with. Mike is a "shirt off his back guy" and the benefits of selling to him have gone 10 fold beyond a couple hundred bux.
Now off my soapbox, though I am happy for him every time I see that thing I think "That is a nice kettle". So in discussing this with Hoss and
@SixZeroFour I told them, I am on the hunt for a really nice older kettle. I wanted something that is almost new but not new, I want to cook on it which I would have a hard time with on a NIB older kettle. Color is not critical, condition is.
Matt found that kettle, you will see more later on but he found a very nice Red mid 70's, the icing on the cake is this was about a week or so after I got the red 26.
So now begins my journey, barring an issue with the wife (I usually can keep her at bay, maybe I will have to sell my kamado), mbh red 18, two toned Red mastertouch are joining the list of kettles I am seeking.
Oh, I NEVER, ever have kettles shipped, I am simply too cheap.
That is the story, thanks Matt much kettle karma to you, thanks Mike you are always looking out for me and thrilled when I make a kettle score.
