Hey guys,
I'm thinking about getting a new 22" master touch, and using my weber rotisserie. I plan to leave the rotisserie on permanently, so l'm wondering if the lid bale will still work with the additional 6" of the rotisserie section.
Thanks.

No....absolutely not....you need another kettle !!!

(Sorry, that could be a usual answer around here !!!)

Let's see if someone knows this answer....there's a bunch of people with roti's, but not sure who might have the newer kettle that will have the lid bale that goes back farther also.....

Here's one thing on old vs new M/T's & it looks like it just may fit?

If you're getting new, maybe another way would be to see if they have a ring at the store & fit it on to see.....women do this all the time with shoes & stuff.....

Thanks buckie.  My main concern is more about geometry than anything else.  If the lid is raised 6" to accommodate the rotisserie section, will it still be able to set(rest) down into the lid bale?

I leave my Rotisserie ring on my Platinum all the time and I can use the lid bale just fine and my bale is the older so it doesn't go all the way vertical.
Wanted: 18" Platinum any color will work
This is my Kettle there are many like it but this one is mine......

I also just realized, after some anthropology, that Ron's the guy who told me about WKC !!!!

Yeh, thanks guys, that's what I had in mind.
Ron, what brand of roto is that? That looks very sharp with the blue kettle.

It is the Cajun Bandit ring that can be flipped over to be used on the WSM, if I did it over I would get just the Kettle ring as there would be fewer openings to deal with (temp controls) when cooking.

I wasn't pleased with how the lid bale works with the Roti ring.  I prefer to use a lid hook when using the roti ring.

I leave my Weber roti ring on the OTP also.

The lid still fits in the bale just fine.
