1973 NOS Weber Smoker Attachment with pamphlet.  The ORIGINAL Smokenator.  LOL   Thank you to the agent!

There it is.

@Troy I will try and get you a scanned copy of the pamphlet.

Jeff

That's awesome.  I've only seen them in the old catalogs.  What's the idea of how its supposed to work?
Where did you find this one?
Kettle collector AND cooker!

Yeah, I remember this from catalog pics......no one could figure out how it was supposed to work.....maybe now?

(I think it was just a drawing in the catalog, hard to even see)
"If you want it fancy there is BBQ spray paint at home depot for that. "
    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!
"But the ever versatile kettle reigned supreme"

I'll put it on a grill when it stops raining.  The ring sits on the charcoal grate and the water pan sits in the ring.  Charcoal is lined around the ring.  The food is suppose to sit on the cooking grate above the water pan.  I picked it up from an agent up north.

fancy drip pan you got there stephen.  ;)

what's really cool too is they were on "Hickory" back in Palatine.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

MartyG

Not much going on there now...but it might be fun to do a meetup/swap on the old kettle-grounds! Wouldn't that be cool?

GregS

good idea, but that's arlington heights.  it's ironic because that's where i park my car to get fixed at "jeffs" automotive across the street.
I only use kettles with lid bales.

Troy

is this the one we were talking about loading directly into the gallery for your announcement?

Hogsy

Yes, Yes, Yes Awesome find, I knew one of these would surface eventually, and to get it with the manual is unbelievable !!!!
Thanks for sharing Harris!
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

@1buckie  @Jeff

Here is how it sits in the grill.  Charcoal on either side of the ring, water in the pan, and food above the pan.

Yep, with charcoal around that ring.  I imagine they didn't sell many of these.  LOL.
