Are you ready for WKC NorCal meet Round 2!?!?!?! I know last years will be hard to top but I think we can do it. I have no ideas about the details yet but I am hoping that the Bay Area and Sacramento grillfellas can make it. Others from faraway lands are welcome too! Please use this thread as the discussion and coordination point.

Who: WKC members in good standing and their friends & family.

Where: San Pablo Reservoir, El Sobrante CA. We've rented a gazebo so there will be plenty of space to bring grills, cook, and hang out.

When: Sunday Jun 7, 11am to ?

Cost: $7 for parking, $5 for fishing. (we might need to pay for parking or area rental fee if applicable) but please bring food, grills, hammock, and inflatable pool.

Activities:
BBQ
Bocce
Beer
Talking about Webers
Trading grills and bbq paraphenalia.

Other details:
The parking area is very close to the Gazebo
Dog's are allowed on leash
There are boats for rent for $10/hr
Fishing licenses are available on site

If you have any additional questions about the site, hit up @argentflame since he's actually been there.

@dazzo since you might be down this way, you are more than welcome to stop by, if you have the time.

So far it seems like the 6th would be good.

Where can we host this one?

Anyone ever been to the Lafayette Reservoir? https://www.ebmud.com/store/lafayette-reservoir-picnic-reservation

There are first come/first serve tables that don't cost a reservation fee - unless we think we'll have enough to reserve a small site ($200) and make the cost per person low enough. I don't recall exactly how far the parking lot is from the picnic area (maybe a 5-10 minute walk) but I don't think we can drive right up.

Any other ideas?

austin87

@pbe gummi bear it's booked up basically every weekend in June and July so we can't reserve a spot, but could always opt for first come/first serve.

pbe gummi bear

That looks like it would work. Lafayette is a little closer to where @mirkwood @1buckie @Winz are. Are you guys planning to make it down if we do Jun 6th?
