A couple of NOOB's (78') (79')

Trying to make the most of a break in the rain today I decided to haul out a couple of my most prized kettles for a quick photo shoot.
The
Red
is a 1978' with a raised letter vent w/ no date code, and the
Black
is an 1979' A-Code. Both are brand new never used kettles with tags still attached. I have the box for the black one but the red's box was destroyed in a flood.
Just today I noticed that they switched the orientation of the lettering on the handle from the one year to the next... or were the two rivets just stuck on whichever way they were grabbed out of the bin?
Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy!

Other than the covers, how much else is different to those "recipes & instructions" tags / booklets? Curious n'all.

I'd be worried about getting grass stains on 'em.
Perfection.
And look at those manuals. Color illustrations and info meant to educate. The Weber of today could learn a lot from the Weber of yesterday.

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
