I had a barbecue with some football friends on Friday. The original plan was a ham but that got shelved between one of them not eating pork and the fact that ground beef was on sale and a couple of others including myself had a craving for homemade burgers.
Bacon was on sale earlier and I’d stocked up on thick sliced stuff so the idea very quickly turned into bacon cheeseburgers except for the ones for the guy who can’t have pork. By then, a full load of burgers plus the bacon meant that a regular 22” kettle wasn’t going to be enough space to work and I don’t have a 26, so that meant that the Ranch got fired up for the first time this year.
