I think I stole this first generation Weber Summit Charcoal

A local decking shop is a Weber dealer and was having a moving sale. I waited until they were deep into their clearance sale and then struck a deal. I knew they had a first generation Summit Charcoal on the floor. If you didn't know the place you would never walk in looking for Weber swag.  My patience and timing paid off..

New with all tags, documentation and accessories. Fully assembled.  Got an extra 7441 Charcoal grate to place in the middle position along with a few other items.... $900!!

Did a burn in yesterday and have a rack of baby backs, a bone in rib eye and Vortex wings lined up for today!

Add this to me Deep Ocean Blue 22, WSM 18 and Smokey Joe, beside my 48" Lynx gasser... I think I am set!

Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Every time I cook on mine I am so impressed with the temp control.  this is an amazing grill.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

I am amazed at how quickly the grill climbed to 600+

I had the lower vents wide open and the top stack open (can't remember what that's called). Just closing the top flip up door, leaving the vents full open promptly dropped the temp to the mid-500's.

Haven't tried to hold low temps yet, but I am sure it's going to be a joy.

Nice price.  I got a Gen1 one a few weeks ago from a local ace hardware here in libertyville, IL that has a few left in the box as well as 2 more on the floor. I paid 999 with additional $25 back as a gift card for taking it in the box.  I sold my performer and 18" wsm to get it and I do not regret it.  I've used it almost everyday for the last few weeks.  It does searing and smoking very well, I believe better than the other 2 and it is very efficient on fuel.

Best grill I own. If I could only keep one...this is it. It's a workhorse. Congrats, I got mine for 1500🤣

I have a dozen cooks on it since Friday (bone in ribeye, NYStrip twice, vortex wings and more) and I am blown away with it.  As much as I love my 22 kettle, the WSC is another level.
