First tri tip on my Weber

So here it is, my first attempt at grilling a tri tip. Cooked it over indirect heat until 120F then seared it twice for a minute at a time on each side. I think it came out just a little over medium-rare, but still very tender and very delicious. Threw that trintip on a tortilla with grilled onions and serrano peppers, oooeee that was some good eats! That's my second Weber kettle, a CL pick up I've named Mean Green, and the more I use it the more I love it! I'm new to Weber kettles and grilling steaks and such so if you guys have any tips or tricks to share let me know

And the wife loved it. She always thought she wasnt a steak person, but ever since I got to using a Weber kettle that opinion has changed!

Beautiful cookup. Try adding a salsa of tomato and red onion. (That is a starter - you can add chiles, celery, vinegar, lime...) Anyway, salsa works with tri-tip.

Thanks guys! I like to keep my cooks simple. Grilled serranos are my favorite with grilled meats!
