They are one time use. Looks like since the bowl was wrapped the heat from the chemical reaction didn’t cause any problems.

I believe the temp doesn’t exceed 150degrees, so it really wouldn’t affect the kettle. Of course, it feels hot as F, when you have a leak & get it on your skin.
