breakfast sausage croissants
« on: September 16, 2017, 07:59:58 PM »
The power went out this morning for some reason.

random kid: "We can't make my croissants, we have no oven ..."

random dad: "We ALWAYS have an oven. WHOSE KID ARE YOU?" (I did not ask why she wanted to make dinner rolls at 9a.m.)

Also, I made a suggestion to add sausage, and surprisingly she agreed.

1) Brown up random sausage links

2) Employ random kid for assembly

3) Don't cook over direct heat. The pan won't prevent the bottoms from burning. Ask me how I know.

4) Expect random goofy face, for no reason

She ate half of one, only. The sweetness of the sausage added to the sweetness of the croissant wasn't her thing. I thought they were worth trying again. We did one with only cheddar cheese, which had promise. I wanted to add the cheese to the others but it wasn't meant to be.
