I wondering if someone can tell me the size of the bolt for adjustments on the post style happy cooker 1/4 or 5/16? The part broke off on this one I'm going to weld on a new nut so I can thread in a new bolt and handle and like to keep it original size thanks here are some pics

Ok so I went with a 5/16 bolt and ground down a nut and welded into a small steel plate and seem to have got my airflow charcoal hight adjustment fixed on the old happy cooker I just need to run to hardware store and get a new nob for a handle to thread on so this came with this pretty worn out charcoal holder that the sides fold up dose anyone know do you think that's the original type charcoal grate for this style happy cooker to keep coals from falling off sides when you raise coals up ?
