My brother bought a house from the 60's in CA.  It has a grill in the living room.  This photo is not of his, but it is just like it; except... my brother chose to REMOVE the grill from his house!

Who does this? Who removes a perfectly good grill from his living room?

Anyway, funny, have you guys ever seen such a thing?  And did you know there is a house in Palm Springs that has a Weber kettle in the kitchen (Elvis cooked on it)?!  Now I want a freakin' grill in my living room.

A friend of mine has that same setup in his kitchen. He too refuses to use it. For shame for shame.

If I had one of those in the kitchen it would need a cleaning.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

The house next to mine has one, they don't use it.    Milwaukee, WI

In the living room would be a little weird but in the kitchen would be cool. I prefer to grill with charcoal outside.
May The Smoke Be With You!

It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

A problem that people often had is that the hood/vent couldn't really draw all the smoke out so you ended up with soot and whatnot inside the house.
