daisy wheel vent question

I received new daisy wheels to replace the 3 missing DWs on a mid 70's red MBH that I acquired.  The small stopper tabs (?) that protrude upward into the bowl do not line up with the notches that are in the bowl holes, preventing me from fully closing the vents. Solutions?  Grind them off?  Also, anyone know where I can purchase appropriate sized black pushnuts?  I can only find white at the local hardware stores.  I need them for the MBH and an N code OTP.  To purchase a set of 3 is fine online, until $7+ is added to the shipping.

I had the same issue with replacement vents on a small tab original.  I just ground off the extra tabs with the dremel.  Leave one, of course.  Worked fine.

I ordered a 25 packs of the 3/8” push nuts. Amazon sent a 10 pack of 5/8” push nuts. Someone placed the correct 3/8” label on 5/8” push nuts.

Amazon said keep the 5/8” nuts and are shipping a second 3/8” package. I’ll know in a couple of days if I have 20 5/8” push nuts ...lol

Yep.  Same thing happened to me.  The mfg's bag says 5/8.  Some schlub in the warehouse slapped a 3/8 label on the bag for procurement.  Oh, well.  I wound up paying 16 bucks for 3 push nuts.  Sucks, but I didn't want to try again with the same purchase.

I’ll keep reordering, until Amazon gets it right or refunds my money. A few years ago I ordered a fuel/water separator for my boat. It took them three times to send the correct item.
