Surf'n Turf with a Tater
« on: January 20, 2019, 01:45:35 PM »
Ribeye steaks, shrimp and twice baked potatoes on a Weber 26.75” kettle and a medium Vortex wide side up.

Excellent meal, but neither of us could eat more than half a plate…makes for excellent leftovers!

Cooked to our preference…

Thanks for looking!

Oh yeah!  That showcases why the 26 is great. I use the upside down vortex in the same configuration. The sear area is perfect for a lot of things.

Outstanding meal!

@MossyMO

Is that Tatonka dust on those steaks?

I really like your cast iron sear grate. Are they available anywhere?

Multiple kettles and WSM's. I am not a collector, just a gatherer... and a sick bastard.

It isn't, it is Texas Swine Shine Beef rub, very tasty!

Those are GrillGrates, they do well with grill marks and you can also use the other side as a griddle!

GrillGrates are an excellent addition to your Weber toolbox.  (not trying to get the Maillard reaction debate going again . . . )

Here they, in action, both for grill marks and as a flat-top:
