Limited Edition Red?
« on: July 17, 2017, 11:37:41 AM »
I just took some time during my lunch hour to call around seeing if any stores around me had info on the Red Limited Edition Kettle.  ACE had no clue what I was talking about but a specialty store which I think is an Alliance dealer got back to me and added me to their waitlist as I am the first one to officially join.  Supposed to be coming at the end of October/ beginning of November.

Did anyone else get on a list? Are you keeping it as a collectors item?  I think I will keep the one I get new in box until I feel a good occasion to break it out.  The wife will give me grief about it so maybe I'll just chuck it into the garage and forget about it for a couple years...  I should be young enough (35) that my kids won't have to worry about putting it up on craigslist for $20 after daddy didn't get a chance to use it.

Here is mine already delivered.

This will be my pizza kettle so I can see it change color when it gets hot.

Just kidding! This is what I put together using Crimson OTG with MT parts. Made in USA not China.

Where did you find MT parts? Would love to track down legs/triangle for the modern MT....

lol I had to look at that thing 3x to make sure it wasn't a modern kettle with a shiny red finish.

@ pbe gummi bear - I have fooled few members with that pic.  ;D ;D  But I reckon, that is how the new one will look.

@ Bob BQ - I can not buy parts from Weber, so I just buy additional MT for projects. I do have all Canadian SE color MT bought brand new except Slate. Plus, I buy other used MT if the price is right for various projects.

You probably aren't talking to the right people is my guess
