Rib eye Steaks on the Griddle
« on: March 05, 2015, 02:32:49 PM »
Got these Angus beef Rib eyes from Sam’s club

They were cut nice and thick :D

Simply seasoned them with S&P and some granulated onion powder and placed them on a hot griddle

Seared them over the middle burner, which was on high

Then moved them to a lower heat spot and covered them to finish cooking. Added a little beer for moisture under the lid. Also added some baked potatoes to keep warm and a loaf of Focaccia bread wrapped in foil to heat up.

And some Broccoli and carrots

Covered the veggies and added water to steam

I also cooked some Shrimp Scampi. I first fried the shrimp directly on the griddle, then put them in a Fajita pan and added butter, garlic, white wine, lemon juice and parley

The steaks and the shrimp are done :)

Added a little Worcestershire sauce and butter to the steaks and the veggies while under the lid towards the end for flavor.
Dinner is ready :D

The Focaccia bread nice and toasty :)

And my plate is loaded :D

Thanks MacEggs :)
Bacon and eggs are some of my favorite food (even for dinner), and especially when cooked on the griddle. I learn something new every time I fire up the griddle, it certainly is much more interactive than a grill, but not better tasting.

Thanks Johnpv :)

Thanks 1buckie :)
I did look it up and was very flattered :)
