I received my Secret Santa gift today.  @MikeRocksTheRed went above and beyond!  I'm really looking forward to using everything.  Thanks Mike!!

I'm waiting on the arrival of the last component of the gift to send to my Secret Santa so hopefully that gets here soon.

Awesome....I saw it was delivered yesterday and was waiting to confirm you got it so I would spoil the surprise.  I was excited when I got your name @Neil_VT00 since we have exchange some weber items in the past.

That hot sauce while labelled as distributed from CA, it is local to AZ.  Found them a few years ago when they were selling from farmers markets.  If I remember correctly one of the things the owner (the wife) told me back then was that they don't use vinegar in their sauces which is usually a common ingredient in hot sauce.  Now they are actually available on Amazon which surprised me but tells me they must be doing well.  The last time I ordered from them was directly from their website and instead of letting the USPS deliver my fairly large order, the owner (the husband this time)hand delivered it himself which I thought was really cool.  It's an interesting hot sauce...it is Ghost Pepper sauce but the Tamarind really cuts the heat making it a medium heat overall.  I love it on lots of things, especially breakfast items like fried eggs, breakfast sandwiches and burritos.  Let me know what you think about it, and make sure you get those Ove Gloves dirty fast!  I can pick up my vortex out of the grill immediately after a wings cook with no problem.  One thing to note with those gloves is that they work so good that when you take them off don't forget they are hot.  The first glove coming off is no big deal because you are removing it with your other gloved hand.  When you remove the second glove you do it bare handed and its easy to forget that second glove is probably hot as hell still!

@MikeRocksTheRed I'm excited to try the hot sauce. Great story behind it.  Looks like breakfast sandwiches will be on the menu this weekend.  By far my favorite way to enjoy hot sauces.

Great tips on the gloves.  Those things are seriously thick.  Thanks again for everything!

Planning to do a butt for the guys at work soon, that killer hogs should be awesome!
& the shaker is awesome. I make my own "house seasoning" that will be great in that shaker.

Jeff, I decided to go "local"...well kinda local. I used to live in Harrisburg in southern Illinois and 17th street was my go to joint. Mike and Amy Mills are great people and really know their BBQ. I love that book and there are many recipes I've tried...the rub recipe is in there. If you like bbq beans you NEED to make their's...by far the best beans I've ever eaten. Hope you enjoy everything and that you and your family have a great holiday season.

I have not used either of the rubs in the past but look forward to opening up a bottle of beer with the old church key, poring it into a beer glass, seasoning a venison steak, lighting the grill with the cubes, and reading my new book!!!

Those shakers (also called dredge's) work amazingly for evenly distributing the rub on meat and keeping your spice containers clean. Nice gift!

Mitch,  (I don't know your WKC username) I absolutely live what you got me! I've been wanting to try some new rubs as I'd been in a rut using the same ones over and over.   Looking forward to trying the John Henry Texas Brisket Rub and Pecan Rub and also the Sure Shit Gunpowder Seasoning!  That would have been enough right there,  but then you went and added on the upper rack which I can assure you will be put to great use at the dock.   Totally above and beyond thank you so much. Wow what an amazing Secret Santa gift box I received from @dwnthehatch
He truly went above and beyond with this stuff, I was STUNNED from the gifts.  Never did I expect to get so many things.
I got a set of bear claw shredders, 2 fish baskets, a rib/roast stand, an awesome set of kabob skewers, 2 sets of planks, and 2 BBQ dishtowels.  I am so thankful for all of these things, I did not own a single one of them and I can't wait to use them this weekend.  THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Glad you like your gifts. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from family on the Brisket rub, and the gunpowder is a relatively new find that adds great flavor to things like asparagus or turkey burgers (which frankly don't have much flavor on their own).  The Pecan rub makes for some good wings. I was out this morning (hitting a couple estate sales) and came home to find a box out front. WOW is all I can say....I'm FLOORED, y'all are TOOOO much. Going into the Secret Santa draw I knew there were a handful of guys who would get something real sweet if I ended up with them. These are guys I know on a level beyond this board. A couple I have met and one who I talk with all the time.

I drew one of these names and he ended up with something that was featured at a knife retailer I have used in the past....Cutlery and More.com. Love the service and at times the prices for what you get are beyond reasonable. My name got a Miyabi Fusion Chef Knife.....my good buddy 604 and I were talking about it going to this fella and the next day I get a call from him. Six says he is my S.S. and he is sending me one of these knives as my gift.......hot damn:

The blend of Western feel and style with Japanese steel.....hand sharpened with a 3 stage process is special. Toss in the Damascus pattern and I say oh my goodness. The way this thing feels in my hand is  instinctual.

Just another over the top Secret Santa gift. @zavod44 you're generosity is fantastic and @Bob BQ, I'm not sure about those SLB handles (J/K) but the inlaid canary is BEAUTIFUL. Brian as well as the other "Founding Fathers" have built a GREAT community here and them as well as everyone else I've met make the WKC a place I'm proud to be a member of. My package from @zak arrived yesterday.  It was so much fun opening the box and pulling everything out one by one. It looks like Zak did some research to get me a bunch of things that are right up my alley.  I can't wait to try the rubs and seasonings.  I love hot sauces with habanero and ghost peppers so I can't wait to try out the Bone Suckin Habanero sauce.  I'm really excited to try the jalapeño-cilantro mustard...something about this stuff is screaming that I am going to love it.  And some cherry wine to wash it all down....yes please!!!!

Got my package from Jon (not sure what your name is on here) in the mail today and man did he do a good job! A Vortex, some Tatonka dust and their chicken wing seasoning as well as 2 bad ass koozies.

Could not have picked better gifts, I tried to order some Tatonka dust last week after hearing people talking about it but they were all out so I wasn't able to. And the vortex l've just been waiting on a little extra spending cash before purchasing! Thank you very much Jon!

I'll be trying out that vortex this weekend for sure as the weather is supposed to warm up a good amount, until then I guess I'll just have to put the koozies to good use!

So I got this in the mail a few days ago, but I have so busy I haven't had a chance to post pics.  So my Secret Santa was Jason...He sent an awesome hooded sweatshirt from Carlsbad CA....It's absolutely fantastic.  I love stuff from other places and this is perfect.  I was wearing it all day yesterday while I wrapped presents.  He also send along some Weber Skewers which I love and have used int he past, as well as a  teriyaki marinade which I will use the shit out of because I love teriyaki, and some excellent looking BBQ sauce.
