We had a good showing with 8 members showing up and a few guests. We even fed some hungry campers and 1Buckie even gave them a cooking lesson! Anyone have a pic of them?

1Buckie outfit #4

Did you know 1Buckie also gives lessons?

What a badass!

Winz/1Buckie, is this really necessary?

Dazzo- Tell us more about this diet?

What a goofball.

Cheeseheads!  ::)

Argentflame

Mirkwood and Performer 1 of 3.

Winz in Paella mode on Bisbee (more on that later).

TNP fatty!

Cuda Dan putting kettles in formation.

I think Cuda Dan and Winz got rocked by Argentflame the ringer in Cornhole.

1Buckie uses turds for Cornhole practice.

1Buckie, Gummi, and Argentflame. It takes 3 people minimum to cook on the Ranch.

Alfonso brought some goodies (more on that later)

Here's some grill closeups.

Bisbee by Winz

Who bring's a gasser to a kettle meet? Dazzo does!

1Buckie had a few kettles going. His setup is a brick and a hinged grate.

Look familiar?

This was the first time in a while I had this mastertouch set up and my first time cooking on it. At the end of the day it tipped over.  :(

Check out this classy vent on Mirkwood's C&B performer.

We also did some cooking! All the major food groups were represented. We had grains, bread, veggies, beans, M&M's, chips, crustaceans, mollusks, and MEAT.

1Buckie made huge trays of drip beans.

Mirkwood wasted no time and got to smoking 3 racks of ribs with cherry and pecan wood.

Gummi made Filipino pork skewers.

Dazzo made Filipino pancit

Argentflame made grilled oysters.

Gummi made a pineapple upsidedown cake. He forgot his mixing bowl so he had to cream butter in a hotel pan. Oops!

Help yourselves!

Winz made paella. Can we get a recipe buddy?  8) Here was the play by play.

Winz snuck in some of his Take-No-Prisoners "TNP" fatty.

WOW!!!!! Its looks straight out of Saveur magazine! And it was done 100% on a kettle. Good job, Winz!

Served with a side of grilled oysters

Seeing 1Buckie Cook is a real treat. This the second time I've seen him in action. He is always in the zone when he smokes.

On the menu he had:

Quote from: 1buckie on May 18, 2014, 04:43:40 AM
Tandoori spiced cream cheese.....

P-nut butter & jelly w/ Russian forest fruit compote jam.............

Ham lunchmeat wrapped ( half-assed, ham dried out too much)..........

Bacon wrapped baby clams.................

Aidell's chicken/apple mini's, half sliced w/ jerk rub & straight cr. cheese............

Very thin sliced ribeye & brisket wrapped, straight cr. cheese w/ cactus honey powder sprinkle...............

And some bacon wrapped onion rings..........

Starting off with some glazed brats appetizer.

Some drip beans

and the main event- TURDS!

1Buckie's setup is pretty simple. It's just a brick on the top grate with a hinged lid. He uses a variety of soaked wood chips to smoke. He mainly goes by feel for the temp, but he does have oven dial thermometers in the kettle

An hour or two later you'll get this!

Mrs. 1Buckie also baked us a watermelon cake for dessert

There was alot of trading and ogling to be done. We even had a dedicated table for showing off!

Winz's blacksmith friend makes beautiful wrought iron bbq accessories. I ended up with a sweet dutch oven lid lifter. He also had coal tongs, hooks, and steak flippers. Badass!

Alfonso brought a rare Weber work table shelf. Very nice! We were going for the catalog inspired photo-op with the yellow mbh.

Wow, looks like a great time was had by all!  Wish I could've been there.

Food looks fantastic and kettles galore!  Some of those photos of Winz, Buckie and Mirkwood pulling up with that trailer are awesome!  I'd probably drive my truck off the road if I saw that pass me on the highway!   ;D

Awesome pics too Gummi!  I love Argent Flame's ranch and Dazzo's yellow/green mbh switch pic!  Alfonso's table setup is badass too!

All the food was really good, the paella was visually stunning & had great flavors, all the different kabobs were great, the desserts, the seafood, the snacks, but the two winners for me were the pancit & the ribs.....pancit because it was cooked on the only kettle gasser I've ever seen in the only other original wok I've ever seen & tasted great......Dazzo was so together on this I didn't even bother firing my wok up !!!!!

The ribs weren't the slightest bit oily, just pure, smooth, tender, all taste & an interesting cookup to watch, really from both of these guys.....I was set up right between them & that was one of the coolest things of the day, watching folks like this attend to their craft !!!
