For you guys that keep them indoors, what do you do if you use them?  I mean, you wouldn't want to keep a greasy kettle in the house so do you clean them out first?  I'd be afraid of attracting animals or vermin around the house so if they are cooked in, they stay outside.

Oh, and I tried to prepare my mind for the pictures that would surely follow a thread called "Where does your Weber live?" but still.....mind blown.  Some of you guys have a lot of kettles.  I wonder what the good people at Weber think when they lurk here.

In two parts......

Here's Lawerence's WSM's in the house & as you can see, they're CLEAN (not like most of mine!)

"Collect them all! I plan to add the new 14.5" for a side by side comparison, but I don't plan to keep it."

And.....

I should hope the fine folks at Weber would go with the ever-rising tide that's started here & pitch in with a log of historical facts on the stuff we so painstakingly guess at !!!!!!

In the summer they are all covered in the backyard.  In the winter, really old ones or collectable ones go under the covered deck.  The rest get covered and sit outside...and my ranch cover blew off in a snow storm and got frozen to the yard so it was uncovered most of the winter....

Good question Dale!
When you get to a certain point, they live wherever they want to live...wherever they fit.
Here are a few examples.  Not pictured is a red kettle in the back of my truck, and a Sequoia and burnt orange Ranger in the shed for the offseason.

Wow that is awesome.  I see you have a Blue Smokey Joe so I know their is hope for me to find one someday to match my other blue kettles.  Very nice looking collection.
Platinum Performer Kettle (In Blue), OTG (In Blue)
Genesis Gasser (In Blue), Smokey Joe (Uline Lime)
Looking to buy (18.5 blue or brownie and blue lantern)

Well Dale, they do take up real estate...My bride has just resorted to just shaking her head...
Couldn't fit them all in, 4 Gassers, 9 Kettles and Weber fireplace here.

Winter storage for the others...

The only one out and was buried all winter...

My grills will be making their home up at our cabin where I'm having a garage built when we return to northern MN this Spring. Original dimensions spec'd for the new garage was 24' x 24'.
Oops.  ... Back to the drawing board.  ???

What's a few extra feet? I'm thinking I need to make a modified Buckie rack system in the garage...

In the garage ... somehow snow still gets on them.  :-\ :-\ :o ;) ;)

Once spring comes, they move to the side-of-the-house landing. Handy walk-out from the kitchen.

Where's Hogsy, Golly, Kendoll, GL Rassmusen & some of these other people with hectacres of kettles?

See what you started Dale?

Some are in other states (Victoria and Western Australia), some are in other countries (US and UK), some are boxed and in storage (at my mums work :) and at my MIL's), some are boxed and in my spare bedroom, and the rest are in my courtyard.

I know this post will get a reaction from Brian. :)

Buckie, I am damn near as old as you. I try now to stay away from Widow makers(ladders). If it were on a shelf, I can still grab 27#'s of Kettle and bring it down to cooking level.

BigB trophy mount for the newer members:

there's always the vertical approach by BigB:

Original thread: http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/trophy-mount/

Been meaning to post this for awhile. Just a little something I came up with to get the grills off the garage floor, to make room for the kids bikes for summer (if it ever gets here). But what do you know, it just gives me more room for more Kettles :)........ Just a little twist on a trophy mount.....Enjoy

Thanks
Brent

Lol pb,
Here is an updated picture, with more color. I may need a bigger wall.
