I think that's what the wife is gonna say when she see's it.

Maybe I overpaid as well, but it was close.

From the time I saw the ad, till it was in my garage, 15 minutes.

My first green, my first "Made in USA".

DZ OTG in Green.

Pretty clean considering it sat outside.

Came with a generic chimney, deluxe cover, and a half a bag of lump.

How did I do for $50?

Started cleaning it up and noticed right away that the legs wobble in the sockets.

Any thing I should look for?

I don't think you over paid, considering it is a OTG. Around MN people are selling OTS Black for that... :o

Not bad for $50, particularly with the cover. Looks like the porcelain is in good shape too.
kettles, smokers...

And clean grates! It's a good deal imo for a cooker.

It's got one quarter sized chip on the rim of the lid.

It's cleaning up nice so far.

What do you guys recommend to fix the loose legs? Screws? Conduit?

Is it the legs that loose or the leg sockets?

If the legs are loose cause they are no longer getting the friction fit they need try flarring the ends of the leg tubes till they fit tightly.

If the leg sockets are coming loose at the spot welds then you are gonna need to asess how bad they are and off they can be bent back to be flush and tight with the bowl or use some washers and screws to make them fit tightly again.
There are some threads on this type  of repair.
Looking for--- a yellow mbh any size, sequoia ( I know I am dreaming), avocado any size, brownie any size.

It's just the leg to socket fit.

Like the legs are smaller than they used to be.

The bowel can be rocked up and down as well as side to side.

Flare the legs out.

This is a great thread on wobbly leg syndrome: http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/shakey-leg-syndrome/

You have a couple options- flare out the existing legs, shim them, or use fasteners. Good luck!

I rounded up the tubes and put a couple wraps of aluminum tape.

Had to lightly tap them in with a rubber mallet.

Much more stable now.

As a bonus, the ash catcher works a lot better now.

It was a pain to get in and out before.

Nice score. I'd pay 50 for one if I didn't already have a green MT.

If I find one in my area that has the easy clean setup like that and its $50 bucks I'm so all over that.  Great find.  I like my Platinum Performer because it is has the charcoal pan to catch everything.  Love that feature and especially on a grill I use 2 to 3 times a week.

Got the green one sorta cleaned up but I couldn't resist a family picture.

v

I also picked up a metal cabinet from my folks house. (We are still trying to clean out since my dad passed)

I needed a work surface and it also works great for storage.

Now I'm wondering if there is a Weber that matches this color?
