Scored this red ss today. It is missing the tank and one touch system. Oddly the ash ring is firmly attached. They must have just snapped the fins off. Hopefully I can save the mounting bar. It needs a good deep cleaning. This was the CL pic. I'll add my own when I get a chance to clean it up.

Congrats, Ted!  I know you've been waiting a long time for this one.

Sa-weet!  These clean up really nice and can't wait to see yours.
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

Nice! If I wasn't so happy with my black SS, I'd be looking for a red one like that. I like the fade paint job.
kettles, smokers...

Thanks guys!  It's the second one I found but sadly the first one was so rough I couldn't salvage much.

This frame is rock solid. Only rust was on the top cross members and a little on the bottom sides of the bottom supports.   I didn't have time to really clean it well. It gets dark fast these day. More pics

Some one thought it was great storage for paint cans.

This works!

After a quick wipe down.

More time later this week to clean and put together.  A little dark when I finished.

Very nice find Ted! I know you've been wanting one and it's in a good home for sure!

Very nice Ted! That will take you know time to make it a cooker by the weekend.

Doesn't look like the rust is past the point-of-no-return. My bluey was like that also.  After a wire wheel in the drill & dremel, some primer, and gloss black paint --- I couldn't be happier with mine.  Looking forward to more restoration pics!

Thanks for the pics.  The kettle looks like it's in great shape.  Good luck with the rest of the restoration.
