Weber 8833 Gourmet BBQ System Griddle Set

I rubbed it down with a light coat of Crisco and put about 10-15 briquettes on the grill, heated to about 200 for over an hour. Started smelling good and I got hungry, so I made up a grilled cheese sandwich on it quick. 8) Have to say, it's the best dang grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had.

The grate is super thick, much thicker than the one that came with the Performer, very well made. And the cast iron griddle is heavier than I expected and should last a long time.

I guess I'll have to get all the other goodies for it now, like the sear grate, wok, etc.  ;D

I recently got the Gourmet grate set with the sear grate.  Likewise, very impressed with the quality and on the hint for the wok.  :)
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Thin Blue Smoke

Sweet, that is on my future acquisition list. Tell your wife thank you, we appreciate her getting you that so you could share it with us. :)
I want to try out the wok as well.

Very nice! Have used my sear great, love it.

The sear grate is very nice, leaves a beautiful diamond-pattern on steaks.  I'm torn as to whether to get the griddle or the wok next...

I love the sear grate, especially on 2" thick Iowa chops! I want the griddle and the wok too someday!

Thanks guys! Glad to hear there are a lot of happy sear plate users, I think that's next on the list, then the wok.

As far as the beer goes, I much prefer a vanilla porter or Scottish ale but on these 90 degree days it's more about cold refreshment than quality and flavor. :)

But alas, now I'm thirsty...
