And I can easily replicate it, but...

Dude, relax your chicken.

I like it and have been thinking about a blackstone for a while, now I have Weber as a choice, I wonder which direction i will go
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

dazzo

Yeah, I've always wanted to get my hands the old Summit (400 I think) flattop. I guess this would be the next best thing.

Me too, but I took it off my list because of the virtual improbability of finding one, one will present itself the day I take delivery of my new flattop LOL

I saw this today.   They also have a full size griddle that is supposed to fit 2016 and newer Genesis and spirits.

I'm shocked it's taken Weber so long to get in this game.

The stand alone flattop griddle looks pretty cool although I am curious to actually check out the quality in person. Looks very Blackstone-ish...

Those old Flat Top 400's are TANKS. Made from the same super heavy tube frame as the Summits of the time... shares a lot of other bits like cooking grates etc as well I believe. Was such a cool design just didnt fit our market at the time. Think they did welll down in AUS

I'll make it easy on you: go Weber.

I have a Blackstone, 36", and while the griddle itself is awesome, the rest of it is absolute garbage. The frame is chintzy, the igniter is a joke, knobs feel as cheap as possible.

I will be getting the Weber, I can guarantee their frame and knobs and igniter are upgrades.

Agreed @BigDawg My wife gave me a gift card for Weber, so she says I have credit, which also means it's OK to get one

Thanks @MoparProud, that makes a decision a bit easier
