Oh Man - Where to begin on this one!

Back at the start of the year I had a beautiful Blue MBH that was one of my prize kettles. I ended up selling it due to unforeseen circumstances and a need for some immediate funds but ultimately regretted the decision ever since. Due to the rarity of the grill I also wasn't exactly holding my breath that I would find another anytime soon so I chalked it up as a "hopefully again someday" type of scenario...

WELL... Fast forward 8 months to late August of this year and one day while searching classifieds I come across what appears to be another very nice condition blue that is located in, of all places, Saskatoon Saskatchewan (Canada)!

MBH Grills of ANY color are very difficult to find up this way, so this is a legit unicorn and it took a minute for it to even sink in what I was staring at before frantically emailing the seller. It had actually been up for over a week at the time but it was posted on a fairly obscure classifieds site so I figured I might still have a chance. Sure enough a very friendly lady named Sharon replied and thanks to the help of some of my wife's family who also live in SK, we were able to arrange for local pickup. To my surprise the grill was confirmed to have been purchased brand new here in Canada so it is indeed true... "They do exist!" ;)

Now even though it was secured I tried not to get my hopes up too high as we all know how shipping a kettle can go - especially when being packed up by someone who doesn't necessarily share the same passion as you do about kettles! It was also travelling more than half way across the country to my home here on the West Coast - but once again the fam came through and did an amazing pack job and it made the voyage safe and sound!

To top it all off this grill is a "B" Code which is my birth year kettle, and it came with an excellent condition Corn'N'Tater rack as well 8)

I wish I had taken some more photos of the cleanup but you get the idea... Had to re-bend the bowl tabs straight then give it a good clean, the triangle I already had cleaned up and ready to go and then the wheels and ash pan are brand new to dress her up nice!

Thanks for looking and Happy Thanksgiving to all friends down south of the border!

Take care all,

Six
