It's been a while but things came together this week. I received my ash pan from Jeff and the the KG grates arrived this afternoon.

I have a couple of chuckies that I'll be throwing on tomorrow to rechristen.

The last thing she's cooked was as a bunch of sticks and branches while serving as a burn barrel (at the previous owner home of course).

Out of curiosity, why did you decide on an uncut Bertl/Jeff ash pan?

Good question, I wasn't sure which way to go.

The kettle had ash pan clips on it. I figured I'd keep it that way and go with the uncut.

Pulled the chucks off a little bit ago and finished in the oven.  They were a hit with the family.

I actually like the looks of the way you have it, straight edge with the clips.  Looks cleaner than the rolled edge.
