Stumbled across an ad on CL for a charcoal and gas grill. Guy listed it for $180. Paid less than half.

Pretty good condition. Bowl is much better than my green "E" code. The black one is pretty much complete except for the one touch which has rusted off and rusted in place (can't move the arm). It's missing the lid bale. Came with the plastic charcoal bin and the older style charcoal baskets. Don't know if gas assist works. Seller says he never used it. I spent 20 minutes cleaning up

Thanks. Now I need to figure out what to do with the other SSP.

Burner tube looks rough. What's the one in the green one look like?

Looks better but not by much

I definitely want to get the gas assist working. I'll probably buy a new burner tube assembly but the hoses are different on each one. Not sure which I can or should get.

There is a little clip, and the tube part comes off from the rest of the hose. I used a gen 2 burner tube in mine.

Installed a set of 7444 sweeps on the SSP today. Luckily I didn't have to do any modifications. I guess my ash can bar was thin enough to use in place of the "H" washer.

Also picked up a fitting for the gas line so I can hook it up to a regular 20lb tank. Next up is getting a replacement 5 lb tank that I can actually refill.  Even though the burner tube is pretty crusty and rusted at the end, it fired up when I turned on the gas and hit the ignition.

Made a new handle for the SSP today. Used the same left over mahogany I used for the genesis handle. Turned out pretty good

After seeing how nice the new handle looks, I decided the little handle for the table top needed an update. So I made a simple handle in the form of the lid handle.
