I think I found my every day cooker. I found it at 9PM Easter evening listed as a Very Used Charcoal Grill_$10. I expressed interest at 9pm( 4 hours after it was posted) stating that I could come get it tomorrow.  No respose.  Sad to say I awoke at 430AM and immediately checked for a response. Nothing. Managed to get back to sleep for an hour, checked again, and still nothing.  Made myself breakfast, left over Easter appetizer, asparagus spears wrapped in prosciutto with a dab of cream cheese (i poached an egg to go with it) and set about to finish my to do list for my last day of vacation ( kids were on spring break). Chicken coop was mucked and re bedded by 9AM when wifey left for work. Fresh bedding was added and the new pullets were out of their temporary quarters and in the new coop by 930. I strawed the asparagus patch, and hoed the weeds in the garden plot, and disassembled the 14" bag pool that had been defunct for a year when at 11AM, I heard my phone chime and saw a message saying "he couldn't come today, so it's yours if you want it." No idea who He was, but I said that I could be there by 1PM (it was an hour away). Made the kids pizza pockets, sliced them an Apple and we were on the road. I came home with this. Ten bills for an AU code performer deluxe. First performer I've seen in these parts for under $100 in a year. The sweeps were stuck but I cut them out and replaced them with a set from a grill I got for free on the curb (they will last until I buy new). Cleaned it up a bit (wire wheel on the bowl, and 00 steel wool on the tray. Its a cooker not a looker, so I didn't go all out.

Also came with two searing grates and a half bag of charcoal,  Grates are pretty shot. I have one in an electrolysis tank as I type to see if they are salvageable.

Not a sexy colored cooker, but am pleased with the price and utility of it. I suspect it will serve me well.

Your offer is a little light. I just spent $15 for new ash sweeps, and if i include the $20 for gas ($50 @ state personal vehicle mileage reimbursement rate) to pick it up, I'm at $45 ($75) cost before I add in my time. Prolly more cost effective for both of us if I keep it and cook some great meals on it to recoup my extravagant investment.

Those searing grates look like mangrates. I have a couple of them and they work awesome! Killer score.
