Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

Finished product!  Walnut circle and the kettles cut out of southern live oak.  Hope y'all enjoy!

Really nice work. The second photo gave it size perspective.  I had pictured a much larger piece looking at the first photo.

Thanks. Yeah, the circle is about 3.25" across. My kids (and I) have been making ornaments for several years now- they give them to teachers, friends, grandparents, coaches, bus drivers, etc. I plan to carry on the tradition as long as they're willing to spend the time in the shop with me.  We just started our "production" over the weekend and last night I had the idea to make a kettle version.

Here's a picture of (most) the ornaments they made in 2017.

Edit- Looking at that picture, that big chunk of wood behind my sons head, leaning against the garage door, is the same chunk of wood the kettle on the ornament above came from. I built a mantle clock from that piece, and the piece used for the kettle was one of the scraps!

That's sweet! Any chance you'd consider making some more... I definitely would be in for one and I'm sure I'm not alone.

You guys convinced me, a few more mini weber grill ornaments on the way.  Curly maple and walnut. I'll only have 8 (for now), so if you're seriously interested in one, let me know!

Hey, think I responded to all the PMs. Seriously, I am blown away with the interest in these!   I love to woodwork, and grill, so having a small joint project that not only interests me, but others in the hobby, is awesome!

If I haven't responded, I will get to it in the morning.   Thanks all!
