Does anyone know if the Performer bowls will exhange between the older "SS" tables and the newer plastic versions?   Also, is there a way to turn a non-gas assist bowl into one with the gas-burner?

Thanks!

Sax, another thing to consider is that the hole for the gas assist burner is actually an oval.

There are more holes in the performer bowls, but the new bowls are actually the replacements for the SS versions. The reason that there are different part numbers is because the legs are aligned on the new ones so that the ash ring can snap into place on the legs. Thats the story from the nice lady at Weber so I'm sticking to it.

Drilling an oblong hole in just the right location on a half circle porcelain enameled surface can prove tricky.....

LOL  Um..  Ya think???

I was just planning taking the easy way out and limiting myself to only the propane-performers.   I loaned out my METRIC oblong drill-bits to a friend who never returned them.    :P
