So about 4 PM, I receive a text.  It was from the guy who recently picked up a key lime kettle for me.

In the text was a link to a CL add with picture of a yellow kettle.  He says in the text, FREE - Posted 30 minutes ago".

I was in the middle of seasoning chicken thighs and was getting ready to start the charcoal.  I wash my hands and quickly bring up the CL add on my PC.  This is what I see.

As you can see, the add indeed says everything is free.  The stated time is between 5 PM to 6 PM.  It is now 4:10 PM.   The address is only 10 minutes from my house.  I jump in my truck and high tail it to the posted address.  I pull up at the address and see I am the first one there.  I have to wait about 20 minutes until the people running the estate sale show up.  Sure as heck, there is a yellow kettle in the yard that went untouched the past weekend during a two day estate sale.  The people running the free estate sale are not the owners.  They were friends of the owners, just helping out.  I tell them to please let the family know that their Dad's yellow BBQ is now in good hands and will be used and appreciated greatly.  They said thank you and that the family would be glad to hear that.  After loading up the kettle, I walk back into the house to check for any other free goodies.  As I walk into the kitchen, I see a woman pick up a pristine wood side kick table and put it into her bag.  Oh well, I'm sure she will enjoy using it as a cutting board in her kitchen.

The kettle is filthy but is in pretty good shape. Broken lid handle, little bit of rim rash, slight crazing on the bowl but I think will clean up nicely. Going to have to wait until I finish the lime restoration though.

The fact the kettle photo was buried in the thumbnails and was posted 1 hour before the "sale" time is what gave me the edge. Needless to say I owe the guy who sent me the text another bottle of wine from my cellar.
