Wing basket for rotisserie

Hey all,

I have the Weber rotisserie accessory and I've recently heard there is a wing basket that fits also.  Did a little searching to no avail, so does anyone have any info?

Very interesting...how do these compare to doing wings indirect around a fire, like with the Vortex or baskets?
Together we'll fight the long defeat.

Seems like a PIA to clean afterwards. I really like my Vortex/Kettle combo...

Like @hwgheaven said it is a PITA to clean. I mean not that bad really, but certainly more than just taking the wings off the grate.

The wings themselves come out great though! Crispy skin and moist succulent meat. You can never beat the self basting effect of the rotisserie.

I have a rib-o-lator that I used to use.  I've been using the vortex lately.

I am a less work, more enjoyment kinda guy. I have an attachment similar to that that just sits in the shed. No offense intended, just not my cup of tea.

The baskets and the ribolator do work but yes are a pain to clean.
If you do use them, non stick spray is a good trick.
I don't own a vortex but hat seems to be the latest craze.
Personally I would just push 2 baskets together in the center and spend the money saved on more wings!
I don't care if you don't like my Avatar, its there for me..

I'll bet those come out great, but Im a wsm wing man now. It's almost as easy as vortex wings and they have the benefits of being cooked over coals.

I find that with some of these gadgets, the idea is good, but the execution leaves something to be desired.

I love using the smaller and larger basket for cooking whole chicken/s (split or butterflied) directly over the briquettes.

I split a chicken and arrange it in the smaller basket. Lid on.
Juicy, tender chicken in around 35 - 40 mins.





The larger basket can hold two butterflied chickens.
Each chicken around 1.5-1.6kgs.
If you put two square steel rods along the top of the rotisserie ring (one rod on each side) you can put the lid on.
The rods are there so the basket doesn't hit the inside of the lid.
With the lid on maximum cooking time I have found is 45 mins.
Again juicy, tender chicken.
You can halt the chicken skin side down a couple of minutes before the end of the cook to crisp up the skin.

I have two of those baskets. I have a plate one and the stainless version. I have had the plated one for years and use it on wings, thighs or a batch of drum sticks.
