Smoked burgers
« on: January 20, 2018, 05:44:34 PM »
This was my first time smoking burgers, and my first time not cooking frozen burger patties. My wife found a family sized pack of 90/10 ground beef so I used some of it to make burgers. I was planning to go all out and put all this stuff on it but it ended up being just the beef sprinkled with salt, pepper, and garlic right before putting it on the grill. I followed Malcom Reed's recipe, but like I said none of the fancy stuff, just the meat. I also didn't have any hickory so I used pecan. I also did a quick sear at the end. They turned out really good with just the right amount of pink in the middle! Basic setup, cheese, lettuce,  tomatoes, onion, bread. My wife approved :D
