Didn’t Need Another SSP, but.....

Saw this deal and couldn’t pass it up. It was only 2 miles from my house. I had to offer more than the asking price because 7 people  contacted the seller. Still got an incredible deal.

That is a great deal! It looks to be in decent condition and still has the propane tank.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Even though I was supposed to be installing baseboards today, I drank beer and worked on my kettles.

Did a quick cleanup of my new SSP. Thing was filthy inside. Now I need to decide whether to flip it or hook another friend up with a grill!







Started on the lid and the buildup was thick:

I am with @Darko   I'll be your friend too!!  That would look nice among my SSP Fleet.  Red, Black, Blue and my OTP Green....

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Only problem with the gas assist was the empty, expired tank. Owner couldn’t find anyone to fill it, so I’ll get it recertified.

I bought an identical new tank a few years that I’m using for the red SSP I’m currently restoring, so if recertification isn’t cost effective I’ll try to find another.

I got mine recertified for $5 at the  propane place by my house.
