What are your 2018 Kettle goals
« on: December 29, 2017, 03:01:04 AM »
So a few years back, I would go into the next year with a goal of what I want by years end kettle wise.  As I sit now, I am VERY content with where I am on the Weber kettle front.

HOWEVER, at the risk of being banned :) , there is one type of outdoor cooking method that I have not used, I have done the Kamado, I have done the Pit Barrel hanging, I have a WSM, I have kettles, the Summit and gassers.  What I have never used is a pellet pooper.  I am researching  entry level pellet cookers to add to my list of cooking styles used.  I am thinking Rec Tec, they have a new Bullseye, that looks like a kettle and they are coming out with a new Mini pellet grill.

Oh as I type this, I realize that I have never used a stick burner but honestly I have no interest given the room that I have to use for cookers.

So.....that is on my list of goals list for 2018, what is on yours.  Kettle goals, I guess a super nice Blue to add to the kettles collection would be cool, shouldn't be too hard to acquire though.

I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

My goal is simple ... I want to move back home to The States and hunt Kettles.
God, I hope someone buys my house this year! I’m too old for this shit here!

My 2018 kettle goal is to get a ranch at a good price.

Cooker goals is a larger pellet grill as the Traeger Lil Tex only does 1lb of bacon at a time.

My goals are to make improvements to my kettle area. Put a roof over an area and create storage for better work flow when cooking. I would also like to do the metal table and lid bale upgrade to the performer. In fact I might cut back to a performer, a ots, an 18 for travel, and my 26. That’s really all that I need.

2018 bear goals is to finish some projects:
1. Restoration of red Genesis 2000
2. Custom Cart with Chimney Station
3. SSPP (2nd P is for Pizza)
4. 26er Table
5. Stage 2 of the bear cave
6. Custom chimneys

Realistically some of these might become 2019 goals. Time & money are likely to be a problem.

I also hope to complete 5 trades, some of which have been agreed to, with old friends and new.

My goal is to find a 26" kettle and possibly sell a couple Kettles.  I am moving out of Michigan next spring to get away from this frozen snowy frigid cold crap!  I will be moving to Arizona if things go right.  I was originally going to move last spring but life happens.
Genesis Gold B, 18" WSM, 18" Yellow, 22" Blue OTG, 22" Lime MBH, 22"  Black SJ, Black Jumbo Joe Platinum and Red 22" LE.

Would love to find a used 26” for a good price locally.

Also, saving up for the charcoal summit. This one is a stretch goal.

I would like to actually finish the projects I have going.  I have everything for a mini ranch sitting in my office at work. I haven't even started.  My performer needs a rebuild.  Again, I have everything to do it.
