Recent offset handle Smokey Joe find
« on: December 01, 2017, 06:35:29 PM »
I just found this one a couple days ago. Was in overall decent shape.  I did my usual quick cleanup and put it back together.  I believe this Smokey dates to around 1960, and is one of the earliest models since it has the individual steel peg legs.  I could be wrong, but I do recall once seeing a 1960 listing showing this Smokey.

Nice one.   That style smokey (handle and leg combo) was available mid 1960's thru 1971.

Very nice find.  When I contacted the guy, he indicated you were already on the way.  It crossed my mind to offer him more, but I figured it was probably someone from here so why alert him that it was worth more than he was asking.
Took me a while to notice those were the legs sticking out of the case, otherwise I might have beat you.
regards,
Hal
