Weber work table.
« on: October 26, 2017, 04:22:46 PM »
Anyone have any idea how old is work table is? It has aluminum edging, Chrome or nickel plated leg sockets, a towel ring hanging from underneath and tool hooks on the end. It looks similar to the other work tables I've seen except the legs don't go through the table. They go along side of it and it has a wood grain formica top instead of a wood veneer.

Sorry, I’m no help determining an age; just a bystander who thinks it looks kickass with your Custom.

Cool table.  That thing screams late 50’s / early 60’s to me.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

Thanks Charlie. It's the only mbh I have in the garage. The rest are broken down in the shed for the winter already.😊

I agree. With the trim and color, I’m going late 50’s. Pretty damn cool, especially sitting on that beauty.

Thanks guys.
I think I found it on the cover of the 1962 catalog.
The description of it inside seems to be a match.
In the 1964 and newer catalogs the table legs go up through the table.

Late 1950's/early 1960's. Would go with a late Weber Bros or Wood Dale kettle.  I've seen 5 or 6 of these over the years.

My table is pretty old on the red kettle, but not the formica looking top.  Same tool holders and towel ring.  The one on the Custom is similar though.

That’s at least pre 1964. Check this out... From the 1950s.... paired with a Chestnut Coppertone. Your table now better explains the one in this picture.

HOLY GRAILS: 1950s era Black or Custom finish 18.5 or 22.5 Kettle, Brown Go Anywhere grill.

That's a really nice table.  Nice addition to the Meat Cut.
