Well it took me all day to cool off to be able to type this.  My wife went this morning to get the grill and when she arrived she was told by the same guy that I paid for it that he got in trouble to pre-selling it.  So he put $100 on it so it would deter anyone ahead of my wife from buying it.  You guessed it, the very first guy in line ran to it and bought it. I am pretty pissed at the guy who said it was mine and took my money for it but at the end of the day I guess it just was not meant to be.  I am still pretty bummed about it.  I had paid $40 for it knowing it was a crazy good deal and I would have even paid the $100.  The guy apologized over and over again to my wife and said he would keep my number and let me know if he came across any more in the future.  Whoever got it is a lucky man.  Hope he enjoys it.

Inexperienced sellers can be a blessing or a curse. Apparently, simply removing the grill from the area, out of sight, or even a "Sold" sign, wasn't considered.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

I agree, thats what made me mad about the situation.  It could have been easily taken care of.

I don't know how estate sales work and if there is a contract or not but that's total bullshit man. Get in trouble for pre-selling your own shit? Sorry to hear you didn't get it.

Its a company that was brought in to conduct the sale.  Thats whats funny, they have "rules" but they are the company so they can do whatever they want.  Total BS, I will be avoiding their sales in the future if thats the way they do things.

Bummer Brett but this is just another reason not to post till it's in the vehicle.  We've all had one scooped out from under us. Only took me one time to learn...lol
