Most of you guys know that my collection focuses on the smaller 18-inchers; more specifically of the MBH variety. This size is perfectly adequate for majority of my cooks, and if I need more space for sides etc, I just double down with another 18". Sometimes I'll pull out a SSP or 22" midget, but like I said, the 18" is perfect for just my wife and I.
With that said, I couldn't think of any good reason to bring this faded Fleetwood home into the collection, except that I had to have it. Is that a good enough reason? Probably not, but hey, we support each other here, right? Besides, I constantly read how awesome the real estate is and how the 26'ers often become the go-to daily driver of choice.
So I bought it. I won't say how much, but I immediately felt a sense of calm. I finally had a vintage 26'er and it's in great shape.
Both grates? Check.
All vents? Check.
Tread intact? Check.
I felt... dare I say it, complete? ...Yeah! I think so! Fleetwood, you complete me! I'm done, no need to look for any more grills.
