I am new to the site so thanks in advance for the help.

I have been cooking with a Weber for 20+years and my newest family member is a green 1996 SS Performer GA I picked from the trash.
I need to find a 5lb lp tank and a new regulator to convert to a new tank

Also looking for the SS Frame utensil hooks.

Any links or leads..... first post on this site for me!

Welcome aboard @papag_24 !  The tool clips at least are available at ereplacementsparts.com  http://www.ereplacementparts.com/tool-holder-p-1475732.html The part number is 99835, if you call Weber they may very well have them too, and often cheaper.

I know that many others have done the tank swap.  I have not, but hopefully one of them will chime in.  Where are you located?  Somebody might be able to help you out locally.

Nice rescue!  That's a heck of a grill.  It looks like you might need to fuss with your ash catcher ring too.  That model was made with a bar holding the ash catcher in place that is no longer available, but there's some good work arounds.  Same if you need to replace the sweepers.

The bar is still in good shape I have a set of sweepers from another parts kettle rescue that are like brand new.

I am thinking about just getting a 20lb tank and a longer gas line regulator and running it off that. When needed. I typically always use my starter chimney

Grate find! I got a 1997 green Performer last year for $30. Had to recertify th 5# tank and clean the igniter. Works fine now. I would look for a used 5# tank at lp or camper dealers. 20# is imho overkill, you should be able to last a long time on 5#.

Just received my new 5lb'r and converted regulator line for my GA.

Fired right up works perfect
