Just got back from looking at one in my local Lowes, the display model had a 3" chunk of paint missing from the lid also.  :(

One more instance and it becomes a feature, not a bug.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Fellas since Lowes sells this, I went to a coupon generator site and was able to get $40 off a $200 purchase when I added a rub to my order.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

I'm pretty disappointed in mine. The bowl is chipped and there are bubbles and pits all over the lid. I preordered from my local BBQ supply store and won't take it back to them since they did me a favor and ordered it for me. I reached out to Weber CS to see what they can do. My local Lowes has 27 in stock at the moment. Wish I new they were they were going to be so available. I would have just waited for Lowes to get them and check the kettles for flaws or damage before purchasing it.

Baby back maniac just made a video on this. His was chipped at the same spot. Did you do the assembly?  He hadn't.

The ash sweeps come pre-assembled.  I opened the box, saw the damage and imperfections, took pics and put everything back in the box.

I understand the aspect of Made in USA that it takes jobs away from US workers.. Made in china doesn't mean that it was made with bad quality, rather that the US business decided to go cheaper and not pay the american work wages. If a chinese product is inferior that means that they were told to make it inferior with cheaper products.

I have my box sitting in my car that I was going to delay opening for 10 years or so.. it now looks like I have to open it up and check it out.  My question is... Is the red porcelain missing off the grill but in the box, like a packaging issue? Or is the pieces of red nowhere to be found?

Anyways........how about those new Limited Edition grills?  I assembled mine over the weekend and it is beautiful.  I did look at my grill closely and there are a few imperfections on the bowl itself but I am not to worried about it.  It has a 10 year warranty if I have an issue later.

I removed a bunch of nonsense and borderline racist stuff.

Lets keep this discussion about the grill.

I used the $40 off at Lowes that @mcgolden referred me to last week and it worked perfectly.  I did it online so cannot verify if they are still working in the store.

I went to Lowe's today for work and took a look at the grill section. None there yet but they had the entire weber display area emptied out. I think I caught them during a reorganizing time so hopefully it will be there and on display soon.  I'm anxious to see one in person.
